ABERDEEN, S.D. - Since co-founding Tribeca Productions with Robert De Niro in 1988, Jane Rosenthal has distinguished herself as a leading producer, with a roster of both critically and commercially acclaimed films. Rosenthal produced one of the highest grossing comedy franchises of all times—Meet The Parents (2000), Meet The Fockers (2004), directed by Jay Roach and Little Fockers, directed by Paul Weitz, for Universal Pictures (2010).

Rosenthal produced the box office sensation Analyze This (1999), Harold Ramis; its sequel Analyze That (2002), Harold Ramis; the Academy Award©-nominated Wag the Dog (1997), Barry Levinson; and critically acclaimed films Marvin’s Room (1996), Jerry Zaks; and About a Boy (2002) Chris and Paul Weitz.

Additional credits include executive producer for “NYC22” (CBS Network). Being Flynn (2012), Paul Weitz; Public Enemies (2009), Michael Mann; and producer for What Just Happened? Currently, she is in development on The Untitled Freddy Mercury Project with GK Films, Irishman with Martin Scorsese, untitled Buddy Cianci story with David O. Russell, and for HBO Films The Bernie Madoff Story and Eating with the Enemy.

In 2001, in an effort to spur the economic and cultural revitalization of lower Manhattan following the attacks on the World Trade Center, Rosenthal, along with partners Robert De Niro and Craig Hatkoff, founded the Tribeca Film Festival. Since its inception, the Festival has attracted more than 3.5 million visitors and generated over $725 million dollars in economic activity.

Rosenthal also co-founded the Tribeca Film Institute, where she has served as co-chairman of the board since its inception. The Institute has become an instrumental resource for filmmakers and arts education. Through the Tribeca Teaches Program the institute reaches over 16,000 New York City students.

In 2003, Rosenthal, De Niro, and Hatkoff formed Tribeca Enterprises, a diversified media company with a mission to provide artists with unique platforms to expand the audience for their works and to broaden the access point for consumers to experience independent film and media. Rosenthal is CEO of Tribeca Enterprises, heading up the branded entertainment businesses, which include the Festival, Tribeca Film Festival International, Tribeca Cinemas, Tribeca Flashpoint Media Arts Academy, and Tribeca Film, a distribution label. In 2009, Rosenthal and her partners formed a strategic partnership with Her Excellency Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and created the Doha Tribeca Film Festival in Doha, Qatar.

Rosenthal has been featured numerous times in Variety’s Women in Showbiz and The Hollywood Reporter’s Women in Entertainment issues. She is also a member of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences and has been honored by The Museum of the Moving Image, Tisch School of Arts at NYU, The Matrix Award, and The National September 11th Memorial & Museum. In 2011, she was presented with the Jane Jacobs Medal for Lifetime Leadership from The Rockefeller Foundation.

Prior to founding Tribeca Productions, Rosenthal was an executive at CBS-TV and The Walt Disney Company. She is an active leader on the boards of the Tribeca Film Institute, the National September 11 Memorial & Museum at The World Trade Center, the Child Mind Institute, the American Museum of the Moving Image, and the NYU Tisch School of the Arts Dean’s Council.
