The Lost Warrior to showcase Native American talent in epic of Cherokee removal

ABERDEEN, S. D. - Hayze Entertainment Group will host an open casting call October 20, 2007, in Aberdeen, SD, for a feature film THE LOST WARRIOR. Production will begin in 2008.
Written by Larry Thomas, THE LOST WARRIOR is the tale of Isaac Thomas, Cherokee descent, who witnesses history alongside Cherokee Chiefs Little Carpenter, Old Tassel, Oconostota and Dragging Canoe. The feature film is Part I of a trilogy of three generations of Thomas men—Isaac, Jessie and John--whose heritage places them on the same fateful path with the Cherokee, beginning in North Carolina in the mid 1700s and ending nearly a century later with the forced removal of the remaining Cherokee from their homelands in the Southeastern United States.
Finding new faces and talent between the ages of 18 to 80 is important to the production team. A strong resume in theater and acting is preferred, but not mandatory. The leads will age approximately 30 years (age 18 to age 45) during the years 1755 to 1789.
In addition to the leads listed below, many other supporting roles are also available.

Wild Rose (aka Nancy Ward), female, Native American, 5' 6, strong, muscular and athletic. 18-35.
Dragging Canoe, male, Native American, 6', 200 lbs., strong, muscular and athletic. 18-35.
